Worried about Yaz or Yasmin?

Recently these drospirenone-containing birth control pills have been making headlines, because of concerns that they might increase a woman’s risk for blood clots. Most pills available today, including Yaz and Yasmin, are highly effective and safe. There is a slightly-increased risk of getting a blood clot, but that risk is very low—much lower than when you are pregnant. If you have questions about your prescription, always talk to your doctor before making any changes.
