- THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) is the main compound
- Psychoactive or mind-altering effect
- Hashish (resin) and marijuana (herb), and Hash oil (most potent form)
- Street names: "Pot", "Weed", "Grass", "Herb", "Dope", "Ganja", "Hash", "Honey oil", "Mary Jane", "Gangster" or "Chronic"
- It can be smoked or eaten
- $15 per gram ($35 per gram for hash oil)
EFFECTS
- Relaxation, talkative
- Mildly distorts perception and senses
- Stimulation of the appetite
- Red eyes, dry mouth/throat
- Drowsiness
- Mild hallucinations
- paranoia (especially with higher doses)
- Alcohol potentiates effect
- Rare toxicities
WITHDRAWAL
- Disturbed sleep
- irritability
- Loss of appetite
- Anxiety
- Sweating
